One for Sorrow / Magpie Rhyme Cross Stitch Pattern
A downloadable pattern
One for Sorrow, Two for Joy...
These are the first two lines of a traditional nursery rhyme about magpies. Supposedly, the number of magpies present can tell you what your fortune will be. Maybe most people don't really believe in this kind of corvid-based numerology anymore, but one thing is certain: magpies are adorable! This is a modern take on both the rhyme and cross stitch samplers. It's a quick and adorable project and is perfect for lovers of blackbirds, traditional decor, and counting. It's also great for weddings!
